Day 1 of 6
Arrival – Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport:

Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Karatu

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park.

Upon arrival, your game drive begins immediately. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal river that attracts a wide variety of wildlife. As you explore the park, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and predators such as lions.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to Karatu in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Serengeti.

Enjoy a game drive en route to Central Serengeti (Seronera), where you may spot lions, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest.

Full Day – Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world.

You will start early in the morning when animals are most active. The Seronera region is particularly rich in predators, offering excellent chances to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Serengeti (Central)
Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater → Karatu

Depart early from Serengeti and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

You will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater is home to a dense population of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and the rare black rhino.

After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, ascend and continue to Karatu for overnight.

Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive.

Lake Manyara offers a unique environment with lush forests, groundwater springs, and views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and diverse birdlife.

After your game drive and lunch, return to Arusha in the afternoon.

This safari visits Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, all of which are home to Big Five species. The Ngorongoro Crater offers the best chance to see all five including the rare black rhino in a single day.
What is the best time for this safari?
Year-round. Each park offers excellent wildlife viewing in every season, with the dry season from June to October providing the best overall conditions.
