Itinerary

Day 1 of 4
Arrival – Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport:

Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Karatu

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.

Upon entering the park, your game drive begins immediately. You will explore open savannah, seasonal rivers, and wildlife-rich areas where elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species are commonly seen. Tarangire is also home to predators such as lions, often spotted resting in the shade.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and continue with an afternoon game drive, taking advantage of the best wildlife viewing hours.

In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and drive to Karatu for overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater.

The crater is one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa, home to a dense population of animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and the rare black rhino.

You will spend several hours exploring the crater floor, with excellent opportunities to see the Big Five. A picnic lunch will be served near a hippo pool, surrounded by stunning scenery.

In the afternoon, you will ascend the crater and return to Karatu for relaxation and overnight.

Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a final game drive.

Lake Manyara offers a completely different environment, with lush forests, groundwater springs, and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants, and a variety of birdlife including flamingos along the lake.

Enjoy a morning game drive before stopping for lunch.

In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
