Co-CEO & Co-FounderMaurine is Co-CEO of Top Hikers Kilimanjaro & Safaris, bringing her international perspective and passion for travel to the company. Originally from the Kilimanjaro Region and rooted in the Chaga heritage, her connection to Tanzania’s landscapes and culture shapes the experiences we offer.
Her journey in tourism began in Zanzibar, where she guided visitors through the island’s vibrant culture and historic sites. Now based in Germany, she plays a key role in connecting international clients with authentic African adventures, ensuring smooth communication and personalized service from the first inquiry to the final experience.
Caritas Mallya
Co-CEO & Co-FounderCaritas Mallya is Co-CEO of Top Hikers Kilimanjaro & Safaris, leading operations on the ground in Arusha. With a strong background in tourism and deep local expertise, she ensures that every trip is carefully organized and executed to the highest standards.
Born and raised in the Kilimanjaro Region, Caritas brings authentic insight into Tanzania’s culture and landscapes. She specializes in coordinating mountain expeditions to Mount Kilimanjaro and tailor-made safaris, ensuring each journey is seamless, safe, and truly memorable.
Shabani Micky Mbasa
Lead Mountain GuideShabani Micky Mbasa is a highly experienced mountain guide with over 150 successful summits of Mount Kilimanjaro. Originally from Musoma, he has dedicated his career to guiding climbers safely to the roof of Africa.
He is Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certified, equipped with advanced skills to handle high-altitude conditions and emergencies. His expertise, calm leadership, and passion for the mountain ensure every climb is safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
